Simple en apparence, la collection Mandurah® a été souhaitée dans l’épure, faite de formes tendues et rectilignes, plutôt que d’aspect bio-design. Ce sont ainsi des formes géométriques simples qui constituent la signature de la collection : un cercle posé dans un carré, dont naît un parallélépipède rectangle. « Il y a à la fois une influence du brutalisme, pour le côté massif, et du Bahaus par le respect de formes géométriques », détaille Patrick Veillet qui propose, par le biais des parements, d’apporter une touche plus moderne à un design volontairement exprimé dans un esprit compact. A cet égard, les poignées Mandurah®, évidemment toutes en aluminium, présentent la particularité d’exprimer également par le toucher cet aspect brut que le choix d’un bois ou de la bakélite peut tantôt surligner ou adoucir. Pour convenir à tous les intérieurs, chaque poignée est personnalisable. En outre, les différents accessoires pouvant les composer sont démontables facilement, de sorte que les tons et matières choisis puissent être changés dans le cadre d’un réaménagement. Il est également possible de les installer sans accessoires pour les parer ou non par la suite.
Simple in appearance, the Mandurah® collection has been designed to look lean and sleek, with tight, straight lines, rather than a biodesign aspect. Simple geometric forms are key to the collection; a circle inside a square, giving rise to a solid rectangle. “There is the influence of both brutalism, as regards the solidity, and Bauhaus for the respect for geometric forms,” explains Patrick Veillet. By using optional handle decorations, he sets out to give a more modern aspect to this intentionally compact design. In this way, the Mandurah® handles, obviously all in aluminium, also express this straightforward aspect through the texture used, through the choice of wood or bakelite, which can either underline the style or soften it. Through the colours, the forms and the textures, we can propose a unique variety of customised styles . Each handle can be customised to fit in with all kinds of interiors. Easily fixed accessories can also be added so that tones and textures can be changed to give a room a new look. It’s also possible to use the handles without accessories and add these on later.
